Day 17

I was away from my desk at work for a bit and came back to this. My supervisor was put on hold and thought that this would be the best use of his time. I thought it was pretty funny haha

Day 16

Mom thought it would be cute if we filled the Daddy, Mommy, and Kid tupperware with soup. She was right! May have been a waste of a clean dish, but we got a kick out of it, and that's all that matters ;)

Day 15

Today at the pharmacy I wrote the word "vaginal" and stopped dead in my tracks - it looked exactly like my mom's handwriting! Too bad it was the word "vaginal" haha... The way the "g" connects to the "i" is spot on! Take a look for yourself :)

Day 14

One of my favorite episodes of "Hey Arnold!" was on the other night. Did you know that the city the show is based on is Seattle? Pretty cool, huh? I remember watching Evening Magazine as a kid and learned that little tidbit of trivia. The creator, Craig Bartlett, is from Seattle :)

Day 14

Oh.Em.Gee. Yesterday I opened my Memory Box from when I was 13. I totally forgot about it until my mom reminded me. It had lists/surveys of my favorite things, what my goals were for the future, what I thought about middle school, and memorabilia of what was important to me when I was that age. It was such a trip looking at where I am now and where I thought I would be.

One funny thing I came across was my answer to the question, "If you had $50,000 what would you spend it on?". I answered I'd buy a house (after buying golf clubs for my dad :)). I definitely would have done horribly on the Price is Right ;)

Day 13

Bought some Halls today and was delightfully surprised by the affirmations on the wrappers :) Sorry it's a bit blurry. Here's a few of them:

"Don't give up on yourself"
(Thank you, Halls, I was just about to, but not anymore)

"Take charge and mean it"
(I will!)

"The show must go on. Or work"
(What do you mean, Halls???)

"Don't try harder. Do harder"
(I'm trying to "Do harder"...Does that work?"
)

Day 12

Wow! My blog's going global! Здравствуйте to my Russian followers! Guten Abend to my single German reader! Selamat Malam to my lone Indonesian fan!

Day 12

So my co-workers and I had an intense debate about jeans. I'm of the school of thought that when you find a jean that looks/feels good you stick with them. You don't even have to try them on because you know they fit perfectly - EZ PZ. Some of my co-workers disagree. They believe you should always try different styles. I guess it all depends if you like shopping and need to change up your jean repertoire.

So long Levi's 552 :( (Pictured)

Day 11

Today my co-worker brought Green Tea Kit Kats from his trip to Japan. It was good! It tasted like white chocolate with a slight hint of green tea. I wonder if that combo makes Kit Kats a health food ;)

Day 10

Big Lots better work on the security system for their carts. The "Attention Shoppers" sign says there's a wheel locking device so carts can't be taken off the premises....I was at the bus stop, which was about two blocks away...

(Sorry the sign is sideways)

Day 10

Am I the only one that thinks of Monsters, Inc. when these MacDonald-Miller vans drive by?

Day 9

Played some really fun games at the Vander Pols! Makes me think I'm missing out on a lot of other great board games! I'm stuck in the days of Monopoly and Scrabble, which looking back on it, I didn't really like playing those!

Day 8

My sister asked a very poignant question to me this morning, "If you were to help man a balloon at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which one would it be?" I replied without hesitation this guy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Day 7

Do you ever feel like you're Bill Murray in Groundhog's Day? You see the same people every day and do the same thing every day. I have a little morning routine on my walk from the bus stop to work: See guy smoking alone in the corner, wave to the Swedish Hospital maintenance guy taking the trash out, wait to cross the street and see the same two women waiting on the other side, and grab an apple from the front desk at work and do some small chat with Sara...

Day 6

Check my icons out. Co-workers think I'm nuts, but I think they're cute.

Day 5

Not gonna lie, kinda want to see this.

Day 5

Bringing out the decorations for Christmas :)

Rudolph is more a perennial decoration. I think he's been hanging on the door knob for 15 years or more!

Day 4

It's that time of the year again.

Day 4

This stuff really works! Either I clean out the garage so I can put the car inside or buy more of this stuff. I choose this stuff.

Day 3

I was walking to work and ran into a little squirrel. It was biting staples off the telephone pole and while I was pulling my camera out to take a picture, our eyes met. I was too slow to get a picture of the intense stare, so here's a pic of him/her sitting on the wire.

Day 2

<--- While looking for an image of other turkey cakes, I ran into this one. Wonder if the apology was accepted...

Day 2

So, yesterday my awesome co-worker, who shall remain nameless, got me this birthday cake and we ate it at around 10:00. It's ok, we rationalized that it's really a muffin disguised as a cupcake that's disguised as a cake :) Basically breakfast...

Day 1.5

It was really windy last night, and the power went out for about 30 secs. Is it bad that the first thing that came to mind was, "Man, now I have to fix all the clocks!"?

<--- Not sure how this qualifies as a haiku....But its message is deep.

Day 1

Today, at around 9:30, I had a really good glass of milk. It was 1% Trader Joe's milk, and it was udderly perfect (little cow humor for you ;) )
